I suffer a lot with speech and I have a nasally voice due to my birth defect. With writing, I am not embarrassed by it and I can tell people what I really mean and how I feel with writing when I can't with talking. Best thing is when I make a mistake, I can press the backspace bar as many times as I need when I can't with my words.
