I started watching the t.v series while reading the book and I got ahead of the book with the series and was disturbed (to say the least) with Jamie recounting his emotional and sexual abuse (it was nauseatingly graphic). I wound up skipping that part (16% of the book) because I couldn't bear to go through it again. Otherwise, it's a great book. (less)
