Through the years I've learned that there isn't an ideal time to get inspired to write, so I get my inspiration from rituals and routines. I treat my writing time as I would any 9-5 job: I chose I timeslot to write, change my clothes, get a cup of coffee, and grind through a few hours of writing. This gives me mixed results. Sometimes what I write in these sessions can be really good, but some other times, it's the equivalent as a bad day at the office. The important thing is that there's consistency in my writing and this makes it harder to lose momentum.
