Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Barbara Schell Luetke I'm Quaker. I began writing The Kendal Sparrow after a pilgrimage to “1652 Country” (the Lake District of England) in 2015. To continue researching and writing, I traveled to Ireland and England in July and August, 2018, (using two awarded grants. I visited places of relevance that allowed me to write a historically accurate account. In most cities (Dublin, Limerick, Cork, Oxford and Kendal) Friends (Quakers) providing hospitality, tours that only a Quaker novelist would appreciate, and book sharings (readings).
