Yes, Maggie and Marlowe were both my cats. Marlowe was in the process of dying at the age of 19 as I was writing the book and I wrote him into it. Maggie had passed several years previously, also at 19. I'd gotten her as a rescue at the age of 6 so never saw her kitten years. But she was stunningly beautiful and really did sound like a dying sheep when she meowed.

If someone is interested in a career as a narrator, how would you recommend they begin? Education? Workshops? It's something I've been interested in for many years, but have no idea how to pursue it. Do you have any tips on things to avoid, or pitfalls? Or advice at all?
