In the letter at the beginning of SSGS, you marked the year as 2017. I wonder if this is to help explain the politics you mentioned in the book? You always said you didn't want the setting to be stuck in one place, but now that you mentioned the year, the time that the series takes place is definitely in 2016-17.

That date is an accidental misprint. It should have been blacked out. Assume that it doesn't exist. (No one else appears to have noticed it.)
