That's where the story walks a wobbly line between the natural and the supernatural. We can assume that SJ is simply hallucinating due to his heart being about to give out. All well and good. We know he's the only one to experience any of the phenomena such as plummeting pianos, etc. But then there's the glove. So either 1) some sort of wormhole opened up, enabling SJ to get the glove during this strange deluge, or he got it some other way and during his last moments believed it came to him from the sky. I prefer the former.
