Hi Sarah, I really enjoyed The Brightest Shadow, really good start to a big epic series! Heard you're a detailed planner which I appreciate too. Just curious, how many books are planned for this series?

(view spoiler)[Thanks, glad to hear you enjoyed it! This is my shot at epic fantasy, so it's a story I'll be committed to for some time.
There should be nine core books in the series, barring something catastrophic. It's planned as a trilogy of trilogies, each centered around a specific cluster of themes. The first is the foundation trilogy, which will take the characters across the continent of Breilin and then unite all those elements.
The reason I said "core books" is that there may be some novellas along the way. I've written the rough draft of one that takes place prior to the series, not essential for understanding, but hopefully intriguing to those enjoying the story.
If you've enjoyed TBS, please be so kind as to leave ratings/reviews! I'm committed to finishing the saga regardless, but it would be nice to have people with me. ^-^ (hide spoiler)]

I must appload the world building in the Street Cultivation trilogy. Though the ending of the trilogy was quite abrupt, one chapter Rick is trying to walk away from Alger, the next it skips 10 years into the future. It seemed like there was going to be more to Rick's story. Is this meant to be the end or just show that Rick does finds meaning in the end?
