This sounds like a Lightning Thief ripoff. Is it?

CJ Books under the Riordan Imprint usually are stories from diverse mythologies, written by diverse authors. For example, Aru Shah is based in Hindu mythology while Race to the Sun is inspired by Navajo/Diné myths. This cover may look like Lightning Thief, but it's just because Aru's "soul dad" also has a magical lightning bolt for a weapon.
Sabrina That's what I thought at first honestly, but no it's pretty different. The author works with Rick Riordan as well and it doesn't make sense for it to just be a Lightning Thief 2.0.
Bobby No. It is not get that question out of your head this is Indian mythology and Rick Riordan sponsored it so NO! Try to read it a little bit and figure out what is happening before you shoot me in the heart with that question.
