I am a librarian and we have the book at our library, keep checking with your local library.

I have a hardcover copy of Devoted I grabbed from one of my local libraries. Not sure where this idea that Thomas and Mercer (division of Amazon, of course) doesn't allow libraries to stock its titles comes from.
Chuck
Just checked the hard copy version of “Elsewhere” a few days ago.

It seems that Amazon (the publisher of Elsewhere) has forbidden the book -and any other publication of theirs - to be available for electronic loans from a library. First they decimate the corner bookstore, and now the library?
I guess I won't be reading this one... Too bad.

I don't know exactly when it was released, it has a 2020 copyright, and my library hard copy still has the "new" sticker on the spine. I'm guessing October, but because of the Covid precaution of quarantining the books between readers, you can tell that it hasn't had very many readers, so far. It is still very much like new!
Be patient, check whether you can be put on a "Hold" list, so you will be notified when it is available.

Another librarian here, in a small rural town in Nebraska. We definitely have this book and have had since it was published and we could get it. It gets checked out quite often.

I'm reading the copy I got from my public library right now. The actual book, not digital.

Our public libraries throughout the County of Sarasota, Florida have copies in hardcover, for which I am grateful having just borrowed one of the copies and read it and recommend it. Enjoy.
Dale
You are RIGHT! This is so annoying! I wonder if it will eventually be available digitally at the library. Oh well, I have plenty of other books (in fact ANY other book AVAILABLE at the Library EXCEPT KOONTZ!)
Sherry
Ummmmm..... There is a hardcover available at Amazon
Lynne Dagata
I always go for Large Print if there is a long hold line in the library system. Most people tend not to think of that, plus it's easier to read.

I borrowed a hardback book from my library. Not sure why you would have trouble finding it.

I'm always behind reading/listening to books so I may not be aware of my library's buying policies but I just returned the Overdrive/Libby audio to my local library in Saratoga Springs, NY. It was a good book, I hope you get a chance to read it soon.
David
I just picked up the audio at my library..so no Amazon does not have koontz on a leash..he sold them his nameless series.

Anyone: Try and borrow an eBook of Devoted from your library
Cari
Hard copy and e-media are different. I am a selector at my library, and we have the hard copy. This is a Thomas and Mercer book, which is not available for library purchase as an e-book through Overdrive or Hoopla.

At the time, it may have been that libraries in your area were facing budget issues and not ordering new books. That was the case around here (I'm a library assistant), but now they're catching up again. If you haven't tried in a while at the local libraries, I would try now!
Carol Kottom
Bought hard copy from Amazon
Jimmy Allen
I borrowed my hard copy from the library.
Chris
Nope. I just picked up a copy at the library.
Selena
My library has this book. Maybe they just hadn't gotten around to ordering yet?
