I wasn't writing Scribbles because I was meeting the deadline for a project called Cheshire Crossing, and I had all this untapped creative writing energy. In my notebook I began this little series of jokes between a vampire and a werewolf sitting in a bar, and it was very pun-y and cutesy. But I love horror, romance, and all things macabre so something about me latched onto the idea and wanted to develop it further. After Cheshire ended I developed it into a full series.
