Ňumi asked Laura Thalassa:

Hi Laura, I´m sorry, if this questions was answered before, but I am very curious - how did you come up with the idea of horsemen falling in love with mortal women? I absolutely love those stories! Thanks for answering :) Greetings from Slovakia.

Laura Thalassa After I wrote The Fallen World trilogy, I knew I wanted to write another post-apocalyptic romance. I thought the Four Horsemen of the apocalypse was a cool idea because four men who've come to the world to destroy mankind? You have your anti-hero love interest and your main conflict right there. XD Even the format was right in front of me--one book dedicated to each horseman. But having an idea versus being inspired to write a book/series are two very different things; I have a folder on my computer with dozens and dozens of story ideas, and most of them aren't screaming at me to write them down.

Around fall of 2017, when I was supposed to be working on another project altogether, the Four Horsemen idea (and Pestilence in particular) started screaming at me. I started to jot down scenes and details of that world, telling myself I'd stop once my creative well ran dry for that book (usually happens after I write out a few scenes). Only, for Pestilence, the creative well never ran dry, and I ended up writing the book in a few months. And here we are!

I'm so happy to hear you've enjoyed my horsemen books so far! I can't wait to share the last two with you all! <3
