Do not give up on your aspirations. Writing can be a lonely business and self-criticism can be destructive. Remember, that often those who should support your efforts, are those who are least helpful. Join kboards or other writing groups for help. When you are ready to publish, find an editor that will help you fix your errors and not overwhelm your style or ideas (tough, I know). Select the best cover artist you can afford. After all of the work you will be anxious to publish, however, prepare to launch your book and develop a marketing plan. Good luck.
