Hi, Sarah!
I hope to show readers that there are different facets of this beautiful culture, both good and bad, like any other community. South Asians have pains, goals, love, etc. and are not always defined by their ethnicity or culture. We can all relate to others in some way, we can all empathize and see the world a little differently when we read from another perspective. Also, I do hope that readers do not view any story of mine as the final tell-all. South Asians are not homogenous and one story is merely one string of experiences in a tapestry of many threads.
