I've just started reading "Take Me With You" and I'm considering purchasing copies for my grandchildren, so that we can read the story together. Their ages are 9 and 11. I've begun the fourth chapter and, at this point have not not encountered any subject matter that is inappropriate for their age group. Is this the case with the entire book? Thanks

(And I don't mean 'baby books." Ask a children's librarian for recommendations. It's Very Important to turn them on to the love of books and of reading. Forcing an adult book on them might not accomplish the goal (and it's a good one) you're offering them. It's not about bad words or R-rated subject matter. The issue is deeper than that.(less)
