Nancy asked this question about The Stolen Marriage:
I enjoyed this book, but I honestly didn't understand the reason why the author chose to kill Lucy off. Does anyone have any theories about this? Also did anyone feel sorry for Ruth at the end of the book, who ended up believing both of her children passed away? I didn't think there was enough compassion for her. She wasn't exactly kind but she wasn't a horrible person either.
Sheri <spoiler>I had the same thought about Lucy. It added nothing to the story to kill her off. </spoiler>
