Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Matt Zullo I first met On-the-Roof Gang member, Jim Capron, in September 2001 at the annual Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association. I was there to receive the "On-the-Roof Gang" award for career-long excellence in the field of naval cryptology. Later, I researched and wrote my master's thesis at the Joint Military Intelligence College about this group of radio intelligence pioneers. The research I conducted at the National and NSA Archives led me to believe there was enough information about these Sailors and Marines to write a book. As it turns out, I wrote two!
