How did you find your unique writing style and create a conversational tone? What are some literary devices you used to enhance your memoir and what are your favorite ones?

Chasten Glezman Buttigieg I went on a lot of walks and recorded myself telling a story (as if a friend was walking next to me). I really wanted the book to read as if you and I were sitting down for coffee and I was just putting all these stories and memories out there. Hearing myself tell the story was important to find the right tone, especially since I think I monitored my tone more when I was on the keyboard.
