Goodreads asked Aaron Victor Vaughn:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Aaron Victor Vaughn Make sure that writing stays enjoyable for you! If you are an aspiring writer, schedule time to promote your book and schedule time to write your next book while marketing your current book. Try to make these two schedules regular, but also realistic, so that you have time to enjoy the other parts of your life. If writing or promoting everyday is not realistic for your life, don't frustrate yourself. Make schedules that truly work for you. For example, write one hour every three days, and market your current book for one hour twice a week.

Also, you do not have to write your book in sequence. You can write parts of the middle, then the end, then the beginning, if you like. Just put your pages in computer file folders or paper file folders, with the folders named is such a way that you can find them easily when and if you decide to use certain pages or scenes. A scene or chapter you decide not to include in the book you are writing may fit in another book you write!
