Missy Ann
Missy Ann asked Krista Lakes:

Do you start from the very beginning of a book when you start writing or do you skip around? I am just starting to write and it is very frustrating that I know what I want to happen but I can't get past the first chapter. Any advice?

Krista Lakes I start with an outline so I can write out the parts I really want first and then figure out how to get my characters there. Then, I write off my outline. I go scene by scene (usually chronologically, but not always) when I get to that stage.
I found the book "2k to 10k: Writing Faster, Writing Better, and Writing More of What You Love" really helpful for getting started :)

When I got my mom into writing, she tried the chronological approach and hated it. So, when she writes, she skips all over the pace. (Typically, she does end>middle>beginning)
