Jordan asked Tenkara Smart:

Hi Tenkara, I was really touched during the part of the book where Wolf meets an Aboriginal Australian and realizes that he has a racist/prejudiced conception of them because of his father. That chapter was brief but very powerful. I'd love to know what your process was like in writing about that? Any plans to delve deeper into anti-Aborigine racism in future books?

Tenkara Smart Hi Jordan,

Throughout my life, people have shared stories with me, and some of those stories were added to my book. I added this short scene because I felt it highlighted the wisdom of Wolf and that it showed Wolf is true to who he is, he trusts his feelings and his instincts, and Wolf is committed to making his own decisions in life based on what he thinks is right.

My future books will be taking place long in the past and not in Australia, so the topics and stories will be different.
