Alafair Burke No plans for that right now. I know readers are frustrated by this, but books rarely tell the reader everything that happens in the lives of the characters until the end of time. I told the beginning, middle, and end of the story I wanted to tell. No spoilers, but the title of the book is a hint to its arc. I think it's a great discussion for a book group about what happens later.

I really enjoyed The Wife (I listened to it on unabridged audio). I have read almost everything your dad has written, but decided it was high time I read one of your novels. I chose The Wife almost randomly, but I’m glad I did. What I liked most about the story was the factual and “moral” ambiguity throughout in the third-person and first-person (protagonist’s) narratives. How did you pull that off so well?
