It was actually a dream that hung around long after I had woken up. I made a note of it in my iPhone notes app and ignored it for months. Every now and again I would have the same dream involving the two characters, Ana and Sam. I began daydreaming the story and before I knew it, I had about 50 notes on my phone. Rough drafts of various scenes in the book.
