I recently watched the series about the Watts Family Murders on Law & Crime. The first issue I have when starting this book is that I see the spelling of the wife's name as Shanann rather than Shan'ann with the apostrophe as on the show. This is an important detail -- which is correct?

Elizabeth Stolar In the book, it says her parents named her after the group Sha Na Na, which is weird in and of itself, but if that is the case, the apostrophe doesn't make any sense.
Meagan Her name is Shanann. (Pronounced like Shannon). She changed it later in life for reasons known only to her. Her parents still call her Shanann. I believe the author did this out of respect for her parents.
Lucille I believe Shan’ann added the apostrophe as an adult. I personally don’t find that particularly important as I’ve seen people customize or personalize their given names at a later point in adulthood.
