Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Nilotpal Dutta 'Everything and Nothing' is my most recent book. As a result of discussions with a few friends, I wanted to write something that captured how one loses faith in the political system and a politician after believing in it strongly and idolizing the person. As I began building the plot keeping Mrs. Indira Gandhi in mind, I realized that while there are many stories written around partition of Punjab not much has been written around Bengal Partition. The book turned out to be a beautiful story that spreads from the mid 19th century to the demolition of Babri Masjid in 1992 capturing the events during this period. It is a beautiful story of a woman, her pain, suffering and redemption against historical backdrop.
