(view spoiler)[How could you do this?! Just finished witch hunter and it was such a horrible tease! Not only did you not tell us the baby's name now that she is all grown up, but you didn't even give us a glimpse of Erick and his reaction to seeing his daughter being dragged away by the Spanish Inquisition. It's like walking into a 5 star stake house after a year of dieting and the waiter just drops your food on the ground. Why?! (hide spoiler)]

Maybe there's more to that story. You just haven't seen it, yet.
Or I'm just a bad person. Could be either one.

Listening to the series again and if I recall the New Lord of Light known later as the Boogem/Boojum (spelling unknown) and believed to be similar to the other constructs Eric theorizes as Angels. While listening to Knightfall again during the fight scene between the two, the Boogem/Boojum claims to be the most powerful of his kind and first created, does that make him the Morning Star aka Lucifer?

Cultivation worlds operate Taoist concept by which humans can extend their lifespan through practicing a set of martial and mystical arts involving meditation and the cultivation of Qi with the ultimate goal of becoming an immortal or attain godhood. This process is usually broken up into stages like levels in an RPG and each stage will improve the person's body and soul. Does that make sense?

Eric encounters many vampire species throughout his travels, but will he ever encounter vampires that are also the night lord species like himself? Is he related to the night lords from rethvan, or was that just mistaken identity on their part in the first book? Like isn’t it a paradox that he is his own vampire grandfather? Someone had to start the mobius circle … this is why temporal mechanics cause head aches :-).
