Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Sandy Raven Loving Sarah and Lucky's Lady are my homage to the Tea Races or Clipper Races. I loved seeing the tall ships when I was a kid and I've been a tea drinker forever. The prints of famous ships under full sail racing back to England with their hulls low in the water, loaded with tea, were really fascinating to me. I could stare at them for a long time and stories would pop into my head--about the people on the ships, what ports the ships had visited, and where they were going. Anyway... The timing in the series was almost perfect (off by about 20 years or so,) and I already had the family import business already set up, so it was just a combination of timing, interest, and inspiration!
