Goodreads asked R.L. Blaisdell:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

R.L. Blaisdell The underlying idea for Cyber Dead or Alive, the second novel in the KindleKat Series came from an off-handed comment by an Interpol official. When asked how best to deal with evolving trans-national cyber-crime and cyber criminals, the response was “just kill them.”

Oddly, I’ve heard the same sentiment, from otherwise reasonable people, when discussing cyber issues. Because cyber is such a difficult problem to comprehend, some believe the only way to deter cyber-crime is through extreme measures.

Teasing out this idea, pulling on the thread to see how my imaginary characters, Blaze and Carla Heaton would respond to it, resulted in the storyline behind Cyber Dead or Alive.
