That's always so rewarding to hear, so thank you from the bottom of my grinchy little heart. :-D As for my favorites in the genre, there are so many. Lily Morton is a particular favorite--I love her brand of snark. I always have to remind myself I'm supposed to be writing, not reading, but it's too hard to stop!

I know they're both older than 25 ("neither of us are 25 anymore") then I got the impression Mac was under 30 ("I guess siting comfortable in the cab is one of the perks of being almost 30"). But when Jordan asked how long Mac had been doing investigations, Mac said "Ten years or so." Which would put him over 30, unless he included his time in the force? Is Mac older than Jordan? Help?
