Hello David.I just wanted to say i have just recently read the first book in the Fatemarked Epic and Fatemarked Origins volume 1.To say i was blown away is a understatement.I have immediately purchased the entire collection. My question is this i noticed the release date for each book being 2017 ( im late to the party as usual) the epic is 4000 some pages long. How long did you work on the series before publication?

Thanks very much for your kind words and support, John! Great question, this series was a labor of love for me, the characters taking up residence in my mind for many years. I started writing on January 1st, 2016 (yep, writers don't usually take many days off, even for holidays). I wrote the first three books over the course of a little over a year and then began publishing on March 1, 2017. I published the first three books before the end of that first month while continuing to write book four, which I published as soon as it was ready. Same for book five, which took another three to four months of hard work. All said, it took me approximately one year and ten months to write the entire series, which ended up being more than a million words and over 4,000 pages. I was glad (but also a little sad) when it was over!
Now I'm working on the follow up series, which will be set on a different continent in the same overall world as Fatemarked. It will be a similar length, approximately five books at 200,000 words a piece. I'm 150,000 words into book one, so I'm almost done! I do, however, anticipate releasing all five books in short succession beginning in mid-2021 :) I can't wait!
Thanks for stopping by and for the question!

No question, just love. My wife recommended The Kingfall Histories series to me, which led to Fatemarked and got me overly excited to have 10 new books to read. I'm about 40% of the way through Kingfall and 100% hooked. Thank you!!! Goodreads yelled at me and said I needed to add a question mark? HAHA
