My mother has suffered from mental ailment for a long time and displayed suicidal tendency throughout her life. Her excruciating journey through the disturbed mental state injected the seeds of this collection in my head and heart. In addition, I saw a lot of important people around me succumb to suicide. The imprints left by each instance remained in my psyche and poetry became the medium to bring my feelings out. I rigorously worked on the lyrical ballads which are part of the collection.
