Goodreads asked Teri Wade:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Teri Wade Write and clarify your own (short) story, or ELS, before writing other things. Every story you write is autobiographical in nature, and you will often find yourself getting stuck trying to figure out how a character overcomes a problem or who they really are, because deep down you haven’t yet answered those questions for yourself and your own story. Once your story makes total sense for you and supports your dreams, the call and surrender to writing other stories just flows.
