Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

David Francis Curran Book 2 of the Winslow Doyle mystery series started out very differently. I have always been interested in con artists. My Kat and Dance stories which appeared in the Louis L'Amour Western Magazine, which were my first sales of fiction, were about two con artists.
When I hit a dead-end in the first version of book 2, I wondered if I could make it about a con. And I asked myself what could the biggest 'big store' con of all times might be.
