Honestly, I was scrolling through book choices in my favorite genre, romantic suspense, and just couldn't find one that spoke to me. I had read and loved Toni Anderson, Rachel Grant, Nora Roberts, and so many wonderful authors, but I hit a dry patch. So I just decided I would write the book I wanted to read.
