This question contains spoilers… (view spoiler)[I have been re-re-re-reading the blackthorn key series and have some theories about the identity of "the raven" the most backed-up of these being that the raven is Peter? Benedict's old apprentice. throughout the books it talks of peter's "descent into darkness" but goes no further, "the raven also calls Benedict "master" which would probably mean he was his apprentice, I don't really expect an answer btw.
