The Stranger is essentially a Realist, Nihilistic book report on Crime and Punishment in the style of the American writers, and as such, is nearly plagiarism on every level. How does one win a Nobel prize in literature by ripping off well-known novels?

Also, I would like to state that the beauty of this world and creativeness itself is that we are all inspired by other things... Eventually, everything that will ever be said has already been said. So, are we all not plagiarists? The differences between The Stranger and other Nihilistic novels is in the delivery and quality of the writing and in the story itself.(less)
