This book is something everyone should read. I think the perfect age you should read this is about when you're 12-13. Again, everyone should know this because it is an important part of history.

I think anyone who is mature enough to understand the book should read it, no matter the age. If your 9-year-old is mature enough, then you should let him read it. It is not a graphic book at all, just the opposite. It has some minor action to keep the book moving, but no gore or romance or anything inappropriate.
