A Goodreads user
asked:
Is there really LGBTQ content?? I wouldn’t care I’m just asking since this is the first book I’ve read by Chris Clolfer. I never really read a LGBTQ book before so this will be new!¡

Not much, it's just slight and hinted at. Still, it's a good book and I personally really love the symbolism and the real world issues represented in it disguised in a fairy tale world.
I can give some recommendations of LGBTQ books where it's a bit more prominent and the main plot centers around it as opposed to in this book where it's just a sorta side thing:
-They both die at the end
-The dangerous art of blending in
-You asked for perfect
-What if it's us
-Autoboyography

From my memory, there's hardly any, if any at all.

Ther is just a little but it is not overbearing in any way. It is more about the prejudices we may have and how they can effect a group of people, no matter the reason. You will enjoy this book.
