Goodreads asked Elizabeth Barone:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Elizabeth Barone The Nanny with the Skull Tattoos was self-published in 2015 and re-published in 2016 by Booktrope. When I got the idea, I was actually working on something else. I remember thinking that, as a society, we're super supportive of single moms. But what if a single dad, whose daughter was born when he was in high school, wanted to go to college and pursue a career? How would that work? And what if, with no support, he was forced to hire a nanny off of Craigslist? They're supposed to obey those boundaries, but what if they fell in love?

I forced myself to finish what I was working on, then started writing, completely consumed by this idea.
