In the book we are told that Max and Ory met at a football game - maybe this is what the QB was yelling when they first spoke to each other?

I like that Peng doesn't give all the answers, gives the characters depth in that they have a few secrets of their own and it allows the reader to fill in the blanks; much like the shadowless need to.(less)
