I did do a lot of googling on medieval medicine, but then I mixed what I found with what I made up, so they're all smooshed together and I don't remember which is which. I'm not sure about a Lucinda novel--I don't want to destroy her usefulness, which making her sympathetic might do. I'm very interested in genies, though, which is similar in terms of power. I'd like someday to write a novel about them.
