Mina Elefante's mother kept it being delievered after her husband died.
Matthew Belskie It was "Genoese" cheese. The characters in the book regularly conflated and confused the names of people outside their own cultural group. To the non-Italian residents of Five Ends "Genoese" Cheese became "Jesus" Cheese.

Ric Chapin I think more people are wondering who was supplying it after the Elder Elephant had passed. In which case I'm gonna guess it was one of his mates he was doing a stint with alongside The Governor. Seems like the Elder Elephant would've passed on instructions to one of them to keep supplying the cheese particularly if it were stolen and they needed to get rid of it.
James No matter who the person or people are that delivered the cheese it would ultimately came by way of Jesus.
Carla Sowinski I thought it was Mrs Elefante that ensured the cheese kept coming. At any rate, I think Elefante Sr. made the arrangements.
Lynda Cohen The book says the father of Elephant - his truck broke down and Sr. Paul who lives in a nursing home and is 100+ years old, tells how she helped him drive home in the middle of the night and subsequently hide the art object. He thanked her with the cheese.
Jackie The elder Elefante. Keep reading to find out why.
