Robert Lowry
Robert Lowry asked Lawrence Wright:

What prompted you to write fiction after so many successful non-fiction books? How is your author’s voice changed in the shift of genres? On another note, thank you for Going Clear. I used it as a textbook in a class on new religious movements.

Lawrence Wright thanks for your support, Robert. I don't think my voice has changed that much as I have switched genres. Nonfiction has allowed me quite a lot of latitude in the books I write. Some have been very analytical, others quite personal. But fiction does call upon a different kind of sympathetic imagination. I like entering into that world.
