Chris
Chris asked Lawrence Wright:

I felt that The Looming Tower managed to chronicle one of the most sensitive subjects in recent history without being marred by personal input at the expense of objectivity. My question is, how difficult was it to maintain that composure throughout and resist any emotionally-induced desire to give your own opinions on the attacks or the parties involved?

Lawrence Wright As a reader, I hate feeling manipulated by a writer, steered toward his or her preordained conclusions. I try to present the evidence, even inconvenient facts, and let the reader decide. If the reader doesn't trust you, he'll start questioning your honesty and taking the other side.
