Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Samantha Rendle The Batman and Robin New 52 comics! I love Damian Wayne, I think it's so cool that he's only 10 years old and he kicks major butt, so Gabriel was born from that love.

Preston's character came from my mum's and sister's love for murder documentaries and serial killer shows. My sister loves Dexter and Killing Eve and she always has a soft spot for the antihero.

And I think the zombie aspect probably came from my love for The Last of Us. Everything else just came together from these inspirations.
