That's a great question, Erin. Not one I've been asked before. I've written a lot of books since then, so I hope I can answer your question accurately. It was always my intention that Fallon was the heir. His willingness to sacrifice his old life was intentional and would definitely have caused a succession problem. Those happened a lot during medieval times and are solvable but thankfully it didn't need to happen.

Unfortunately, I didn't discover your suggested reading order until just recently, so I read Harbinger first, then Kingfountain, now I'm on the Legends of Muirwood. My question is: how many years separate each of the series? Since they all interconnect in some way I think it would help me to know a time frame.
