How do you get inspired to write?

Rachel Hore All I need is a little thing to spark my interest and then I begin to explore it by thinking, reading and researching. Quite often it's a place and an atmosphere that starts me off, or an object, or a name on a war memorial. There's a great deal of digging about that is simply work, not inspiration at all.
