Is this a rip off of Wilder Girls? Are they too similar?

Emily I have not read this book yet, but I don't think it's a rip off of Wilder Girls, seeing as it was published first.
Olivia Not at all. Sawkill Girls definitely has more fantasy elements, such as magic. I thought Wilder Girls was more survival than anything; this book doesn't fit that category at all.
Lara No, it definitely isn't. This book is better written and was written first.
Summer They have a couple similar elements but very different vibes. Wilder Girls has a lot of body horror and Sawkill Girls has a lot of wistful staring off oceanic cliffs as the waves hit the rocks below.
Samantha (Bookwyrmsam) This was published before Wilder Girls, and I think that one is supposed to be a retelling of Lord of the Flies, whereas this one is not a retelling.
