In the first spook's book, Tom tells Kratch that when he becomes a spook Kratch wouldn't have to make breakfast on sundays. Does Tom keep that promise, or does it not count anymore after he makes the new deal with it after the house burned down?

Yes you are correct. I think that deal on no Sunday breakfasts has lapsed! Tom made a new deal with Kratch and that is what they will keep to!
