I think they’re fabulous, much more life like, and there’s no nastiness at top level (sure this isn’t the case in real life?) Hi Carole, I'm so pleased that you are enjoying the books, and you are right, I should think that there is a whole lot of nastiness in real life! There is so much red tape now that writing something too realistic would be very difficult and probably boring! We'll stick to the fictional world of the Fenland Constabulary, shall we? I just recently discovered your DI Jackman/DS Evans series and I am hooked. Out of all the characters, DS Evans intrigues me the most. She seems to embody an ideal in the novels. I don't mean she is not a believable character, but more like she is the conduit for much of the message in your stories. Did you create her by mixing more than one person/-nality into one or is she a pure product of your imagination?

Currently I'm reading book 14 with Nicki & Joseph and starting to feel withdrawal pangs having now read all 14 books I'm hoping to have something to look forward to...so will there be a book 15 coming out soon? Also with the Jackman and Evans books, read them all... When will the next edition come out?
